Robert Hodgins creates visualizations at FITC Toronto

This is the third video in the FITC Toronto 2011 series.

This recorded four part session features Robert Hodgin, a man who has been captivated by invisible forces since he first programmed a magnetic repulsion effect six years ago. Since then, Robert has explored the phenomenon of electrostatic fields and gravitational forces, using these invisible forces to create audio visualizations, natural simulations, and artistic interpretations. In this presentation, Robert discusses these invisible forces at greater length and demonstrates a few implementations and unexpected uses.

FITC 2011 Toronto Ticket Winners

Congrats to Dallas McCluske (Pittsburgh, PA) and Nicholas Low (Toronto, ON) the winners of the draw for the tickets to FITC 2011 Toronto!

“This year, FITC is the closest design conference to Pittsburgh, PA – where I work as a Flash Developer and Interface Designer. FITC seems like a ton of fun and a great way to network and meet other people who share the same passion as me. Some of the speakers there have spoken at FlashPITT (our local Flash conference which isn’t happening this year). I find their designs and coding experiments to be very inspiring because they remind me of how to have fun while having a successful career at the same time.”
Dallas McCluske

“It’s FITC Toronto’s 10th year running, this is going to be an epic one, even more so than the years past. Always great to see familiar faces in the industry and a chance to meet some new ones
Also the line up of speakers this year looks very promising, some great agencies are represented there.”
Nicholas Low
